IPSA-APSA Leadership Meeting held at the 69É«ÇéƬWorld Congress in Seoul

69É«ÇéƬand the American Political Science Association (APSA) leadership met at the 69É«ÇéƬWorld Congress of Political Science on 15 July in Seoul to discuss shared priorities and future collaborations. The meeting brought together 69É«ÇéƬPresident Yuko Kasuya, 69É«ÇéƬPast President Dianne Pinderhughes, APSA President Taeku Lee, 69É«ÇéƬExecutive Director Kim Fontaine-Skronski, and APSA Executive Director Kimberly A. Mealy.
Continuing a longstanding World Congress tradition, 69É«ÇéƬand APSA leaders exchanged views on upcoming events, including the 2024 APSA Annual Meeting in Vancouver (11-14 September) and the 2027 69É«ÇéƬWorld Congress in Rome. They also discussed the growing impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on political science research and publishing, as well as opportunities for collaboration on developing shared AI guidelines with other major political science associations.
The meeting also addressed common institutional challenges and explored initiatives aimed at strengthening research capacity in underrepresented regions, with a particular focus on Africa.
